Empting the Cup

Most Feng Shui is geared to creating energy by adding cures (objects that represent the energy you want to attract). But there is a point where the cup is full and adding more will just cause an overflow. Then the cup must be emptied first before we can taste something new. And because we have two eclipses this month it is a perfect time to empty that cup

To remove very old, very stuck energy from a room, clean the room thoroughly including washing the windows and vacuuming the carpet. Then take some Clearing Salt (or Sea Salt), about a teaspoon, and dissolve it in some warm water. With this solution wipe down each door handle and window handle and let them dry them thoroughly. Open the windows and the doors and smudge the room. Then close the room and light a white candle letting it burn for an hour or so. This is a long process but it is very effective for clearing a room.

To end a habit or fear: An eclipse is a perfect opportunity for letting go. Write on a piece of nice paper the habit or fear you wish to be rid of. On the day of the eclipse, March 18th, hold the paper in your hands and picture what you will do instead of that habit or fear (such as instead of overeating junk food you picture yourself indulging in some sweet, delicious fruit or instead of being fearful of speaking to your boss about a raise you picture yourself shaking hands with your boss as he or she cheerfully tells you how much more money you will be getting). Then burn the paper in a candle flame and let it burn entirely in a fireproof container. For a moment more, picture your happy outcome. Discard the ashes the next day.

To remove something from your life, things you just can’t seem to part with, try this technique. Seal the things in a box. On the outside of the box write the date that you sealed the box. Spread a thin layer of Clearing Salt (or Sea Salt) and set the box on top of the salt. Then sprinkle more salt on top of the box. This will remove any attachments those objects have to your home and any attachments you may have to those objects. One month later check the box. If it has not been opened can be tossed without guilt or fear of loss.

Even removing something small will create a space for new energy and opportunities. This month is great for clearing out old energy.
