Candlemas - February 2nd

Before there were groundhogs popping in and out of
Pennsylvania there was Candlemas also known as
Imbolc. This was a day
to light candles and ask for an early Spring. In the
evening on Candlemas, before the family would sit
down to supper, they would go through the house
lighting every light, making the house as bright as
possible. Then everyone would sit down to a happy
feast, at least as much feast as the cold winter
months would provide.
Imbolc is also
known as the feast of St. Brigid. On the eve of
Candlemas Brigid was said to walk the earth.
Members of each household would leave strips of
cloth or pieces of clothing outside for Brigid to bless.
This cloth was then said to have healing properties.
Consider this February 2nd lighting some
lights or leaving a piece of cloth outside. By actions
such as these we can connect with our past and our
ancestors and bring that energy into our present.

Two Minute Money Devotional
You
can align yourself to wealth in two minutes. A

to attract what you wish. Consider doing a

devotional.
Wish Box:
Write a special wish on a small piece of paper, just
one for now.
And place the wish in a pretty box. Place
the box in the kitchen where you will see it
everyday.
My Results: I first did
this about
10 years ago. A dear friend gave me a pretty box
that I wanted to display. I was also in the mode of
organizing my thoughts and get my wishes on
paper. At the time my fondest wish was to get my
first Feng Shui book published. I wrote out my wish
and placed it in the box. And each day when I
looked at the box I thought about my wish. About a
month
later a representative from a German publisher called
and a few months later I had a Feng Shui book for
sale in bookstores in Europe. Amazing.
